About Greenspace Education
The need for place-based learning is imperative for students to connect their experience to a relevant context and boost intrinsic motivation to learn. In order to shape and ensure a sustainable future, we need individuals to adopt particular values and attitudes and develop particular skills and knowledge.
Education for Sustainable Development is not only about examining key issues such as consumption, poverty, pollution and climate change; but learning to apply a specific set of skills to solving problems within these issues. These skills include, but are not limited to; observation, collaborative ideation and decision-making, critical-thinking and reflective practices.
Here at Green Space Education, I include place-based learning and sustainable development themes in all resources and training.
